Hectic Weekend

Its a bright sunny morning here in Llanberis, N Wales. I'm sitting in Stu and Miranda's living room drinking tea after a cool ride up and over the Llanberis pass and feeling pretty good about things after the weekend.
What a weekend it was. It all started on Friday with an early start up to see the gang at Intermarketing in Leeds, it proved to be an interesting and vibrant meeting, and I'm really hoping we may be able to form a work partnership together in the future. Straight from there it was an interview with Neil from the Yorkshire Post before a cheeky gym session in the hotel, I knew it was going to be a busy rest of the weekend with no chance of any exercise.
Friday night was great fun, there was a gaggle of the usual suspects from old gathered for a few beers and a curry in downtown Leeds. Total respect for Mike Rudden making the effort to come down from Edinburgh for the evening.
Saturday morning was the big presentation to the Leeds Alumni. I had been asked to present at the annual Lunch, which was a great honour but I have to say I was slightly nervous. The crowd there were simply amazing and greeted me with open arms which really helped calm me down. Thanks to those who asked knowledgeable questions and an even bigger thanks for those who put time and effort into putting the whole thing together. Lunch was amazing, it was just a shame that Jazz and I had to cut it short and drive to N Wales that afternoon.....in the driving rain!!
Saturday evening was totally epic but for all the right reasons. Stu Mac had asked me to present at the Plas-y-Brenin Expedition Symposium. The event was super cool with Stu doing a great job of putting the whole weekend together. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the evening talk, once again thanks to all those who came up after expressing kind words about how they enjoyed the presentation.
Sunday I gave 2 workshops in the morning about 'going light' which were really well attended, and then 2 in the afternoon based on 'dealing with Altitude'. The whole weekend finally came to a close at 5pm and I was totally knackered.
It had been one of the best 72hrs I've had in ages, but it was only made possible by all those who helped out behind the scenes and of course all the people who came to hear me speak....I hope I didn't disappoint. Finally a big hug to Jazz who supported me through out this rather hectic weekend.
Thanks KC
